August has been a busy month for the Active Communities team with our summer multi-sports programme alongside supporting many community events across Worcester!
We have also launched our fantastic Stroke Association Swimming sessions at Perdiswell Leisure Centre. Working in partnership with the Stroke Association we have been regularly welcoming stroke survivors to these supportive sessions.
I am extremely proud of the initiatives we have developed and the stories we will bring you in this first newsletter. I hope you enjoy reading more below!

Our Stroke Association Swimming sessions at Perdiswell Leisure Centre go from strength to strength. Working in partnership with the Stroke Association we have been regularly welcoming stroke survivors to these supportive sessions. The sessions have already had a huge impact on the lives of the participants, with some indicating how it has changed their perception on what they are capable to do post-stroke. Sessions run on Thursdays 10-11am. For more information, email
