Welcome to the October edition of our Active Communities update for Worcester.
Hosting the City of Worcester Sport Awards 2019, in addition to opening our 2nd Worcester Sporting Grant round, September has been a fantastic month for the Active Communities team!
Both initiatives are a great way for us to recognise local sporting talent; supporting clubs, athletes, coaches and volunteers. The Worcester Sporting Grant round is still open and wont close until the 31st October, so we encourage all eligible Clubs and Athletes to make an application.
With the summer activities seeming like a distant memory now, the team have gone straight back into our term time programme, working alongside schools to provide sports activities for children.
We have a number of new and upcoming initiatives starting in October that I am excited to tell you more about, later in the newsletter.
