Mental Health Support for 16 - 25 year olds
Wellbeing Works reflects an understanding that mental and physical wellness are essential components of work and career readiness. Problems and issues relating to health and wellbeing can often create significant barriers to engagement. Support is delivered in the heart of communities within youth hubs in Bromsgrove, Malvern and Evesham. There is a strong focus on creating a warm, welcoming and supportive environment where young people, aged between 16 and 24, can build trust and confidence in both the service and in themselves.

Finding purpose through volunteering
When we stop our working lives, finding purpose drives us all. Extra time to take up gardening, walking and catching up on DIY might not be enough to help us find purpose. Often, we dip into hobbies, groups and activities to help us in our quest to find our purpose. When we find our purpose, good things happen, we go out of our way to seek it out. It has been suggested that finding your purpose can be linked to better health and even longevity. It certainly puts a spring in your step and a smile on the face. Purpose can be about applying your own skills, expertise and experience in a way that matters to you. Using what you have, for the greater good.
When it comes to volunteering, finding the right volunteering role is key. Matching your values to the volunteering opportunity, finding something engaging and something that matters to you, helps ensure that we find an invigorating role. It all helps give us a sense of purpose. The right volunteering role could help you grow as an individual, realise your strengths, grow your interests, develop new skills and gain a broader perspective on the world around you. One day a month volunteering for one person, doesn’t just make a difference to their lives, it makes a difference to you.
