Active Communities Fenland Newsletter - November 2019


Welcome to the first ever Active Communities (AC) update for Fenland. From November 2019, we will be sending out regular newsletters so you can read about the great things the team has been up to!
 
I have been in the role of Active Communities Manager for Fenland for 6 months and I've used this time to network with a wide variety of groups and partners from all over the district. The great thing from my perspective has been the willingness from different organisations to engage with the Active Communities role and therefore improve people's lifestyle through activity.

In conjunction with offering the group certain discounts on a certain programmes and classes throughout the week, the Active Communities team has also supported the development of a Gentle Exercise Class on a Wednesday morning. The programme has got off to a great start!

The programme began at the beginning of August and see's FACET service users attend the centre on a bi weekly basis on a Wednesday afternoon between 1.30pm and 3pm. 



<span style="font-weight: bold; text-align: center; display: block; width: 100%;">Family Badminton</span>

The Flexible Family Badminton programme began on Sunday 20th October, with families in Wisbech being able to access all 4 courts at The Hudson for £3 per court.
