We've been working hard to make changes to the centre so that your fitness activity is as safe as possible during this time.
You will find a few changes in the centre such as line markings at reception for queuing, less numbers in classes, different opening hours and times set aside for cleaning, but these are necessary actions for the short term and will be reviewed in line with government guidance over the coming months. In the meantime ...WELCOME BACK!

We've made changes for your safety here too. Class numbers are reduced so there is more space in the studio and start times are staggered so that there are fewer people in the communal areas of the centre. Again you'll find hand sanitisers outside the studios. Book online up  to 7 days in advance but please cancel your space if you can't make it - spaces are very limited and someone else might want to take part in that class. Registered customers can easily cancel zero price bookings through their online account in the "account history" tab, otherwise please call the centre on 01483 771122 or email wokinglc@freedom-leisure.co.uk 

 

Courts are bookable online - up to seven days in advance. For track and trace purposes the person making the booking is responsible for recording the details of the other players.

Please be aware that for safety reasons we are not hiring out equipment at the moment although rackets, shuttlecocks, bats and balls are available to purchase from reception.

 

Changing rooms and showers are also closed for the time being so come dressed ready  to play and bring your pre-filled water bottle.

 

Enjoy a Costa hot drink in the leisure centre cafe - available as a takeaway, in our "distanced" cafe area or outside on the patio.
Snacks, ice creams and sweets are also available.

The Woking Park kiosk will also be open soon
10am - 5pm for hot & cold drinks and ice creams.

Although lockdown has meant that the pool building refurbishment had been delayed with both our teams and suppliers affected so the pool remains closed until the autumn (hopefully September).

 

However, the project is progressing well again. The main & teaching pool changing village is nearly completed along with the showers and toilets, new pool covers, new pool benches and new glazing to the atrium has been installed. 

A new Changing Places Room has been built  offering a fully accessible toilet with the right equipment and generous space for the disabled person and up to two carers plus their equipment. The room also includes a shower, a height adjustable sink, hoist and a height adjustable, adult sized changing and shower bed.

Work is continuing in the lagoon changing village and major work in the cafe upstairs.

Unfortunately during this difficult time and for varying reasons not everything can come back straightaway; these are the things that are still closed:

Woking Sportsbox - will re-open in September in the meantime members and casual customers may use the gym and classes at Woking Leisure Centre.

Children's activities are not currently running including softplay, creche, trampolining parties and holiday activities. 

Sports and fitness courses, 50 Plus Club, rackets clubs and events programme. Please note that the Woking Beer Festival is cancelled this year.
Some clubs and group have returned, please check with your individual organisation.
