The mayor celebrates the opening of the new Padel courts at Withdean!

We are pleased to announce the padel courts are now open! One Brighton resident who has already embraced the sport is the mayor, who had a game on Thursday.

Inclusive Multi Sports Festival

One for the diary! Come & join us for a inclusive festival of sport at Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre! This event is for families who have children with special educational needs or disabilities. Join us on Thursday 23 December, 9.30am - 1pm

New Cardio Tennis Sessions at Withdean!

Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by music and qualified instructors, you'll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time.

Lifeguards needed at King Alfred

Being a Lifeguard is an essential part of the operation of the Swimming pool and Centre. This is a responsible role which is key to the safety and well-being of our customers; it requires excellent attention to detail, good people skills and a current NPLQ qualification. We are looking for fun, dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to be part of the Freedom Leisure team. We want our employees and customers to have the best experience possible, So if this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

Hours: 37.5 hrs a week, Monday to Sunday - rota basis

As part of your employment with Freedom Leisure, we offer all qualifying staff (subject to existing qualifications), the opportunity to complete a range of funded National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s) and for a limited time, we will pay an additional £500 bonus for staff completing an NVQ.

Requirements

An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff
Well developed interpersonal skills
Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment as appropriate
Flexible and adaptable
